Datum Dynamics has a unique design philosophy, which has involved creating automated design methods. By identifying common attributes, which lend themselves to parametric design, we have produced a suite of software that allows our designers to manipulate data, apply design routines and thus reduce design time considerably. Here are some examples of the routines we have created:
| AutoCarrier - This will create a wave solder carrier complete with end view, stiffeners and wave riders. | |
| AutoDEKPlate - This will design and machine a complete DEK plate including recessed pockets. | |
| AutoMPM3000 - This will design and machine a vacuum block suitable for an MPM 3000. | |
| Springer & Pin - Used in our surface mount pallets to locate and retain PCBs. | |
| Spilleted profile - This will automatically generate the optimum profile to retain a PCB in a fixture. | |
| Internal & External Fillet - Speeds up the design process. | |
| Sort Circles - Automatically sorts circles according to size ( try getting 4000 vias out of a drawing). | |
| Strip Rectangles - Takes all visible rectangles and puts them on a new layer. | |
| Strip Legend - Does exactly what it says on the tin. | |
| Extract Geometry - Takes all occurrences of the selected geometry and puts them on a new layer. | |
| Extract Component - Strips out pad groups and generates a component outline for each pad group picked. | |
| Locate Depop - This finds all of the depopulated components on PCB from a depop list. | |
| AutoPocket - Automatically generates offset pockets around components with a minimum wall thickness. | |
| Clean Up Pocket - Smoothes and tidies automatically generated pockets. | |
| AutoFixing - Select the aperture profile and this will dynamically allow you to insert fixing pockets and holes. | |
| Customer Approval - allows any number of screenshots to be taken into a document and attached into an E-mail for immediate sending. | |
| Add Tool Data - Quick method of generating operation information for production. |
